   (A) Scenario Manager Enhancements, Development
--------------------------------------------

Development of major enhancements to RiverWare Scenarios was substantially completed in February 2013. Final bug fixing and feature documentation was completed in early March. This work is intended to provide a simpler user interface and workflow for "stakeholder" scenario users. Enhancements include:

The new Scenario capabilities are described in this feature document:

In February, development accomplishments included all tasks outlined in this design document:

The following design changes were also made in February:

  1. The Scenario Output Snapshot Object Slot List is presented in the Scenario Manager instead of the Snapshot Manager.
  2. Added stakeholder option to Disable the Scenario Playbox for individual scenarios so that the one-to-three Scenario Playbox Input Slots can instead be directly edited in the conventional manner.
  3. Added "Scenario Playbox" button on the bottom of the RiverWare Workspace. This button is shown only when a playbox configuration has been defined within the model.
  4. Added ability to delete scenarios from the Scenario Playbox.
  5. Added a playbox "slider" icon to Scenario Input Slot items in the Scenario Manager. See:
       R:\doc\Scenarios\ScenarioPlayboxSliderIcon.pdf
  6. When creating a new scenario within the scenario playbox, the user provides the new scenario's name. (Previously, a scenario could be named only when saving it to a scenario file).

Additionally, the following general enhancement was made to Snapshot Object support:

Exporting and re-importing Snapshot Objects had not previously been fully supported in RiverWare: the associations of the Snapshot Object's slots with the original slots from which the snapshot was made had not been retained. This has been fixed. Now, when re-importing a Snapshot Object, these associations are restored. So, for example, the feature of plotting a particular slot and all of its Snapshot Object copies in a single plot now functions properly for re-imported snapshot objects. This was important also for loading a scenario file which now has an embedded Snapshot Object.

A list of possible enhancements to RiverWare plotting features was drafted. See this document:

Maintenance Accomplishments

[I.A.4] Sponsored Projects / RiverWare / Software Maintenance
   (A) Qt3 to Qt4 Port: Open Object Dialog
-------------------------------------------

Fixes were applied to the Open Object Dialog Qt4 port, completed in January 2012. These included:

  1. Element Objects (in an Open Object Dialog for an Aggregate Object) are not to be sorted.
  2. The context menu in the Methods tab wasn't operational.
