RiverWare may be installed in regular or Viewer mode. Please note that the install programs for both are identical, and that a license file is required for either installation. The regular, full-featured install requires a RiverWare program license, while installing in Viewer mode requires a RiverWare Viewer license. Please see these pages for more information on using the RiverWare program in Viewer mode.

Download the RiverWare release
installation file to a temporary download directory via the link provided below. It is recommended that you print out the Installation
Guide for your reference, before installing RiverWare.

Install the release by running the executable that you downloaded. |
RiverWare Solaris Releases

Download the current RiverWare release.
The link below is for a tar file. Save the tar file to a temporary download directory. It is recommended that you print out the Installation
Guide for a more detailed reference, before starting installation.

Unpack the tar file you downloaded:
tar -xvf filename
where filename is the name of the tar file you
just downloaded. This should create several new files, including those named MANIFEST,
riverware-install, and part000*. |

Install the release by running the
riverware-install script:
riverware-install
and follow the directions. |
